Costabella
Costabella is an urbanised area on the outskirts of Marbella, situated between
the districts of Las Chapas and Elviria. It contains many beautifully luxurious
apartments, villas and townhouses for residents and visitors to enjoy. There is
a thriving community in Costabella and it is a popular area with many ex-pats.
Main Tourist Attractions
There are some magnificent beaches in
Marbella, one of which lies in the heart
of Costabella. You can simply spend the day relaxing in the sun or undertake
some water sports including surfing, parasailing and jet skiing. Marbella is
home to Funny Beach which is a great place for children; it has go-karts,
trampolines and boat rides. The Old Town sector of the resort has many old
buildings which have some stunning architecture to see. There are several
squares surrounded by orange trees where you can sit for a spot of lunch and
watch the world go by. Golf is a popular activity in the Costa del Sol and the
areas around Costabella offer access to many championship courses. The
Elviria
district is home to the famous Nikki Beach where you can try your hand at
celebrity spotting. There are also activities available here including tennis,
horse riding and volleyball.
Shopping Opportunities
There are several shops in the vicinity of Costabella, where visitors can
purchase much needed holiday items and some fabulous souvenirs. Marbella also
has La Canada shopping centre and the renowned
Golden Mile which is filled with
expensive boutiques and designer fashion houses. There are some interesting and
quaint shops to explore in the Old Town area.
Puerto Banus has a shopping centre
and an El Cortes Ingles department store. If you still crave some retail
therapy, Elviria has two large commercial shopping centres to enjoy.
Eating out and Nightlife
Visitors to Costabella can enjoy a wealth of restaurants, bars and cafés in the
area. The eateries cater for all tastes and all budgets; you can savour some
traditional Andalucian dishes and Tapas or some international cuisine from the
likes of Britain, China and France.
Costabella has one small disco in the immediate vicinity. Most evenings are
spent enjoying the company of other visitors and locals with a large bottle of
wine. Marbella and Puerto Banus have a thriving nightlife with many discos, pubs
and nightclubs open until the early hours of the morning. Puerto Banus is also
home to one of the few casinos in the region.
