Apartments for sale in The Skol Marbella Costa Del Sol
Occupying one of the
best beach front locations in the whole of Spain is the Skol building.
It was originally built in the late 60’s as a hotel which, once, famously played
host to George Best during one of his unauthorised, drunken absences from
Manchester United.
Now it is a complex of privately owned apartments, still occupying the best
location and with the tropical gardens as nice as ever.
There are three blocks to the complex with all apartments having terraces and
sea views. There are two pools and a café/restaurant in the gardens.
From the gardens is direct access to the Paseo which is a paved walkway
stretching from the old fishing marina in the eastern part of Marbella all the
way to Puerto Banus to the West. Just the other side of the Paseo is one of
Marbella’s wonderful beaches.
Within a 10 minute walk there must be hundreds of bars, restaurants, chringuitos
(beach bars) and shops. Within 15 minutes is the charming old town of Marbella
full of little cobbled streets, designer shops, tapas bars and the famous Plaza
de Naranjos (Orange Square).
The owners in the Skol are a good mix of nationalities and also a mix of
permanent residents, part time residents and holiday makers. This gives a good
feel to the complex all year round.
If you are looking for a beachfront location and in one of Spain’s nicest towns
you would be hard pressed to find anything better than the Skol.
